The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It gives a great mopping experience but lacks the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't employ LIDAR to determine the layout of your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the top-rated robots. It comes with a variety of features and impressive cleaning power, including the dirt compartment built into the base of charging. This robot can also learn your cleaning habits and suggest schedules that are automatic for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once the system is setup it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button click. You can select an overall clean that focuses on the removal of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that your home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vac performs well on both bare floors and carpet with a low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as rapidly as other models do, and it can even clean up pet hair without difficulty. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, but iRobot says it will improve with future models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that concentrates on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are widely used, but we found it only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with a superior filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. It's a nice claim, however, we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price tag.

Its smart navigation system employs a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map your interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those on higher-end models. Its mopping system is better - its spinning pads scrub floors better than an ordinary pad that vibrates.

The only downside is that it does not have an additional rubber brush for more thorough cleaning, but that's a small cost to pay if want one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank of the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it takes just two or three cycles, even when you've got the most dirt.

For the mopping device, I was impressed by its ability to scrub off the tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has, which are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, create little noise, allowing you to work or watch TV without distraction. It will gently hit furniture or walls, and then move away whenever it comes across one.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to function almost autonomously with very little need for user intervention. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that can automatically transfer physical trash into the hidden bin, as well as cleans and drys the mop pads, and refills its clean water tank. The app is good at alerting you when something is in need of attention, for example, the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session having been canceled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create and combine actual rooms to customize the way that Q Revo manages your home. That's a handy feature to have if you have several areas of the home with different flooring materials or if there's a lot of clutter that needs to be removed regularly, such as clothes, toys, and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing debris from carpets as well as hardwoods in its first run. It is able to even remove wet spills, though I recommend wiping them dry with a damp cloth prior to sending the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has an omni-rotating mop as well as a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's akin to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an automatic cleaning station that washes and cleans the mop pads, keeping them clean and ready to be reused. It also has a sensor that recognizes obstacles better which allows it to avoid falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design due to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still big. It has a height of more than two feet both height and depth, and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This model is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a complete cleaning of about 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that works even when you're at home. It also has a smart routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined path.

The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping robot. Its mop pads rotating scrub away tough stains, and its motor generates a lot of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is excellent, and it increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a huge battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as efficient as the ones we've seen on a consumer-grade robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a top-quality mop and robot vacuum that comes with a range of features that you don't often see on robots in this price. It is able to create precise floor maps and recognize different types of flooring. It's also one of the only robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These are nice features however they here can place the L10s in the class of luxury. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It's slim and tall with a white finish accented with silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving around the home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that basically acts as an on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. If you click it again, it will shut it off and send it to its base station. The center of the control panel includes the circular menu which lets you choose cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons will open the settings of the app where you can customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technologies to help you map out your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR also assists the robot vacuum to recognize and avoid obstacles which is a great feature for families with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability which clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our test on the hard floor and taking out all but the most stubborn juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, removing 98.4% of debris on our wood, tile and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
