The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent choice if you're looking for a mid-priced mop and robot vacuum. It gives a great mopping experience, but it lacks the features that make up its more expensive counterpart.

In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats out of carpets with a medium pile. It doesn't use LIDAR, however, as cheaper models do, to identify your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top-rated robot vacuums. It has impressive cleaning power and numerous features that include the self-emptying dirt container built into its charging base. The robot will learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is in place it can begin automatic cleaning with a single button press. You can choose a general clean that focuses on the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with low pile. It can pick up pet hair and sucks large items up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with high-pile or plush carpet, however iRobot promises it will improve in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on enhancing edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has an open-fronted, flat-fronted design. The company hopes this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of most robovacs, though we found it to be incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an advanced filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice premise, however, we're not convinced that it's enough to justify the premium price tag.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors that remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, such as stairs and other barriers, and to clean up your whole home efficiently possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundary markers to ensure that the robot is aware of the areas that require attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that is a combination of mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are just as effective as those of more expensive models and its mopping feature is better still--its spinning pads do a more impressive job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only drawback is that it doesn't have an additional rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but it's a small cost to pay if want one of the best robots on the market. The dust tank of the robo-vac is larger than its competitors and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you have maximum dirt.

For the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping modes that are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, produce little noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without distraction. If it comes into contact with the wall or a piece of furniture it gently smacks into it before moving along.

The Q Revo is unique in that it runs almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and can automatically transfer garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app is adept at alerting you when something needs attention, for example, the water tank being empty or a scheduled vacuuming session that was cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to customize how the Q Revo will treat your home. This feature is helpful for those who have different flooring in different areas of your home, or when you have to frequently get rid of clutter like toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my test and was able to remove debris from carpets and hardwood floors on the first go. It can even vacuum up wet spills, though I recommend wiping them dry with a cloth before sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a top-quality robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, and the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough stains. It also has an auto-cleaning base station that automatically empty and cleans mop pads, keeping them clean and ready for use again. It also features a new sensor system that is able to better detects obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). Although it's still quite large--it's more than two feet tall and deep and weighs almost four pounds--the entire robot and its base are much smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it charges faster and can handle a full cleaning of around 1,500 square feet on one charge. It also has a larger and more durable dustbin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that works even if you are not at home. It also has a smart routing feature that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined path.

The Omni X2 Omni has the best mopping performance of any robot we've tested, thanks to its mop pads rotating to scrub away tough stains and a motor that generates plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also top-notch, and it boosts suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It has a large rechargeable battery that can last up to a week. The mopping feature of the robot is also powerful.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a high-end model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots of this price. It has the ability to create precise floor maps, recognize different types of flooring and is one of the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. But while these functions are great but they also push the L10s Ultra into the luxury category and could mean it's a little more expensive than what some homeowners need.

Designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim device that has an elegant white finish enhanced by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage while moving through the house. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum there is a single button which serves as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The circular menu at the center of the control panel allows users to select cleaning options or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons on the screen will open up the settings menu in which you can tweak the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your home. This allows the robot to clean and mop efficiently, without getting stuck. The LIDAR helps the robot vacuum avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability that clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our test on the hard floor robot vacuum that vacuums and mops and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops are also quite efficient, removing 98.4 percent of the debris that was found on our wood, tile, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't as great at tackling sand on the floor, or the quaker oats that are on carpet.
